We put the journals in front, and the poets would read and also you could pay for one of our journals if you desired to, together with drinks or a snack. This was pre net, I imagine, or I don’t think we did or factored that into a way to promote the event, oddly. Or maybe someone else did and I didn’t find out about it. So it was word of mouth or via email. We didn’t make any money at all except towards our next magazine. Our overall angle was, hey, we’ve an area and please come and hear all these great poets and drink and hang out.
